2020 Year in Review. Modern Romantic Wedding Photography in Melbourne
2020 Year In Review.
15 very very special weddings.
A seven month pause between celebrations.
A massive end to the year and a surge of hope and anticipation for the future.
Nostalgia flooded through me as I combed through images from January, February and the start of March. Looking back on the start of the year felt like a lifetime ago, and in many ways it was.
One image in particular of Jo and Kosta, one of my couples from March, wading through a throng of bathers on the last warm weekend of the season feels almost surreal now.
We are all changed, in our own quiet ways.
And yet love prevailed, and continues to prevail, and move us, and inspire us and pushes us ever forward. What started out as a normal wedding year ebbed into no weddings for seven achingly long months and finished in a flurry of elopements, split date celebrations and intimate weddings.
To my beautiful couples whose weddings I was able to so graciously be a part of this year- thank you. More than ever, it really did mean so very, very much to me to share your day with you.
To my amazing, resilient couples whose weddings didnβt go ahead as planned- thank you. For riding this year with me, for having me there in the coming year to celebrate your day, cheering you over the finish line!
This is my 2020 Year in Review. A year truly like no other.
